Are you a true StoryTeller?

Dear potential StoryTeller,

Do you want to help eco tourism evolve?

• by working as an embedded storyteller at one of the Eco lodges in our network?
• by producing interesting stories, stunning visuals and atractive content about one of our Eco lodges.
• by engaging travellers and guests visiting the lodge to spread the word.
• by atracting guests via your own creativity via Social Media.

Soon there will be another oportunity for you as a embedded storyteller.

You will dive into the world of sustainable lodging and help them to distinguish themselves among other lodges. You develop a smart staregy to attract guest via social networks, blogs etc. Social Media play a big role in on of the most hectic shifts in history of communication. It provides for a lot of opportunity to engage people. That's we see it as a central succesfactor for effective storytalling.

This story teller (you?) will produce a constant stream of stories (videos, pictures and text) on a weblog, a Twitter page, a Facebook page, in newsletters. You will share stories, reach out to people, answer their questions and inspire them to visit the lodge. Also wil be very active on travellersblogs, social networks and reviewsites to create interaction with potential guests. Create a pull in your own creative and smart way.

You will turn guests into partners and ambassadors of the lodge and make sure the stories of the lodge are told by the guests. If they start sharing their experience you're doing a good job. This is neither journalism or propaganda. We are only interested in real/authentic stories.

We are building an online community Eco lodges can share stories, where people get inspired, former guests can share their experiences etc.

You won’t work for us but with us, we will assist you, guide you and do everything we can (as a digital assistant from a distance) to make sure great stories are shared.

This means that we need someone who will work independently and is really flexible. This is not a 9-5 job (but I don’t think anyone was expecting that:))

Some more practical information:

• The period will be 3 to 4 months starting as soon as possible
  
• In this project the lodge pays half your flightticket, food, accommodation and their tours for free.
  
• There is a base of small pocket money and a small bonus which can vary depending on your output.
• Knowledge of internet, social media, WordPress etc. is a must. We can give you digital support but we just can’t do everything from the other side of the world.
  
• Excellent writing skills in English are required. Other languages are very welcome.
• Filming and pphotographt skills are a very strong plus.
  
• We need you to be very flexible, openminded, social skilled and intercultural sensitive.
  
• We need you to be intrinsicly motivated to help evolve ecotourism.

• We will select the people of whom we feel it's a true embedded StoryTeller.
• Then we ask you to complete an assignment for application, which is a digital presentation of yourself.
• Once approved we use your presentation to match you with a lodge. Eventually lodge owners make their pick out of our selection of three people.
• The lodge owner will have a personal Skype call with matching candidates and makes the ultimated decision. We do this because we think a personal connection with the owner is necessary to make this project a success.
